Hank Wright
ST. JOSEPH – Hank Wright, 68, of St. Joseph passed away at 11:48 p.m. Friday (March 14, 2014) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Sidney Christian Church, with Rev. Barry West officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph, is in charge of arrangements.
Hank was born Sept. 9, 1945, at Champaign, the son of Wichie and Alberta Hudson Wright. He married Lucille Worthey on Dec. 22, 1964. She preceded him in death in 2003. He then married Carol Carr on Feb. 18, 2006. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, Mindy (Jeff) Saathoff of Hudson, John (Kendra) Wright of Hillsboro; stepdaughters Julie (Jeff) Wyant of Broadlands and Jodi (Joe) Bear of Homer; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Hank was a member of IBEW Local 601, Champaign. He retired from the University of Illinois in 2005. He enjoyed gardening and home improvement projects.
Hank received the gift of life on Sept. 1, 2010, with a liver transplant.
