BROADLANDS – Annis Skinner, 93, of Broadlands passed away at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly St., Newman, with the Rev. Ben Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery north of Newman. Visitation will be one hour before service time.
She was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Indiana, a daughter of Everett and Mattie Chandler Wagoner. She moved to Illinois as an infant with her grandparents with whom she made her home. She married James R. Skinner on Nov. 22, 1942, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Surviving are one daughter, Sue (Bob) Todd of LeRoy; two granddaughters, Tara (Jason) Bolding of LaGrange and Trina (Brent Wallace) Todd of LeRoy; and seven great-grandchildren.
Annis was one of 10 children, five brothers and four sisters. Several have preceded her in death.
She was a member of the United Community Church of Broadlands. She had been employed by the Heritage and ABL school districts and worked for the Jury Commission of Champaign County for many years.
She had resided for the past one and a half years at the LeRoy Manor in LeRoy.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the donor's choice.
