HOMER — Thomas Franklin “Frank” Carter, 94, of Homer passed away at 6:30 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 22, 2022) at home.
There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main St., Homer, is handling arrangements.
Frank was born Feb. 24, 1928, at home in Vance Township, the son of Charles M. and Mabel Craig Carter. He married Beverly J. Moore on Aug. 23, 1947, in Homer. She preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Chuck (Karla) Carter of Homer and Todd Carter of Fairmount; a daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Hays of Bloomington; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two older brothers.
Frank was a member of Homer United Methodist Church. He was an agricultural engineer for the Department of Agriculture. He was an animal lover and raised baby squirrels. Frank liked spending time in the woods and liked to roller skate, even having his own outdoor rink. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.
