Roger B. Wingler

 HOMER — Roger B. Wingler, 82, of Homer passed away at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2023) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main St., Homer. Pastor Steve Burwell will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Roger was born March 29, 1941, in Urbana, the son of Walter and Lucille Randall Wingler. He married June Burwell in October 1962 in Thomasboro. She survives.

Survivors also include her son, Jay (Lisa) Wingler of Benton, Ky.; daughter, Penny (John McCracken) Qualls of Homer; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Roger was a truck driver, working for Rinker Trucking in Florida before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family.
