Easton “E” Dean Wilsey was born May 12, 2014, to Brooke and John Ross Wilsey and into an
amazing community of family and friends who loved and adored him dearly.
Easton was a fantastic athlete just like his parents, Aunt Taylor, Uncle Michael, Grandpa Lonnie
and many others before them. He excelled in football and baseball but found his true love in
wrestling where he, Brooke, John Ross and little sister Avery spent so many of their weekends.
They also loved swimming in Grandma Debbie’s and Grandma Andy’s pools on hot summer days
and watching the Royal Giants win a game or two.
Not only was E an amazing athlete but excelled in school as well. He had perfect attendance
and was super diligent about his schoolwork, ensuring all homework was done and all tests
were studied for. As a 4th grade student at Prairieview-Ogden Elementary School, he was a role
model and beloved by students and teachers alike.
Easton’s most amazing attribute, however, lay within his heart. His patience and empathy were
never-ending, and he cared for everyone. Most of all, he was genuine at heart and in mind. He
was simply one of the most amazing individuals that his family and friends had the pleasure of
knowing.
Easton is survived by his parents, sister Avery Wilsey, maternal grandmother Debbie Freeman,
paternal grandparents Andy & Randy Cooper and Jeff & Judy Wilsey, uncle Micheal (Gabi)
Wilsey, aunts Missy (Ronnie) Siegel, Jennifer (Chad) Duncan, Taylor (Ryan) Bird, Megan (Kyle)
Zindars, cousins, Addi Siegel, Raylin and Nash Duncan, Tayleigh and Josie Bird, Kopelan Wilsey,
and Caden and Casen Zindars, and, Godparents Jennifer Acton and Tyler Flessner, numerous
great aunts, uncles and cousins along with more friends and family than can be counted. He was
preceded in death by grandfather Lonnie Freeman, great grandfather Dean “Dean-O” Pearson,
great grandparents Dick and Joyce Freeman, Marjorie and Clifford Wilsey and Patricia and Earl
“Bud” Schneider, uncle Larry Freeman, great uncle Jim Wilsey and cousin Shandy Wilsey.
Easton was taken from us all too soon. While we are heartbroken and will never understand the
how’s or why’s of the event that lead to this, there is one thing that we do know and that is
Easton is in a far better place than the rest of us.
E, until we see you again, please say hi to Grandma Jocey, Grandpa Dick, Grandpa Dean-O,
Grandpa Lonskie, Uncle Jim, Cousin Shandy and Uncle Lars. Also, please keep all of them in line
as we can all only guess what kind of trouble that group is causing up there.
Until next time, Buddy, we love you.
