March 10, 2024 David (Dave) E. Marsh passed peacefully from this Earth with his family by his side; including his wife of 71 years.
Dave was born in St. Joseph Illinois on August 1, 1931 to Howard W. & Orena (Skinner) Marsh. He grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Doris (Miller) Marsh on June 16, 1952. Two weeks later he was shipped off with the Army to serve in the Korean War. Once he returned he started farming and also became a rural letter carrier. He retired from the postal service after 23 years but he continued farming for the rest of his life.
Dave was active in the local community and belonged to the St. Joseph American Legion, and served on the Drainage District board as well as the Patterson Cemetery board.
Dave was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother, Calvin Marsh and one sister, Virginia (Marsh) Vinson.
Survivors include 1 sister, Dorthy (Marsh) Vinson, his wife of 71 years (Doris), 2 sons, Howard Marsh and Bradley (Linda) Marsh, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private graveside with family.
Dave will be so greatly missed and his legacy will continue on as we farm the fields each year.
