Leslie Wolf

ALLERTON – Leslie Wolf, 90, of Allerton passed away at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Newman Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newman.
Celebration of life services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Allerton United Methodist Church, Allerton, with the Rev. Clyde Snyder officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Private burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery, Homer. Kirby Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St., Homer, is handling arrangements.
Leslie was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Louisville, Ill., the son of Loren and Mabel Beasley Wolf. He married Marjorie Morrison on April 28, 1946, in Danville, and they celebrated 69 years of marriage. She survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Carole (Dave) Gillenwater of Allerton; two grandchildren, Taylor Gillenwater and Robert (Chelsea) Anderson; one great-grandson, Andrew Anderson; and one sister, Kathleen Thiede of Savoy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Anderson; three brothers; and four sisters.
Leslie graduated from Homer High School in 1943. He was a farmer and a seed salesman. He was a member of Allerton United Methodist Church. Leslie enjoyed camping and water skiing.
Memorials can be made to Allerton United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
