Rosemary Fisher

CHAMPAIGN — Rosemary Fisher, 70, of Champaign died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2018). Rosemary lost her brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surr ounded by family and friends and the loving staff of Country Health Care and Rehab, Gifford, in her final days.
Rosemary was born May 9, 1948, to Dorothy and Paul Felkner Sr. in Urbana. They both preceded her in death. She married Floyd E. Fisher I on June 17, 1967, in Urbana; he also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Faye Resky.
Rosemary is survived by her four children, Tracy Wilson (Jim) of Champaign, Stacy Uebelhoer (Brian) of Mahomet, Kacie Fisher (James) of Champaign and Floyd Fisher II (Tami) of Villa Grove; eight grandchildren, Audralee (Ryan), Jaimee, Jessee (David), Cole, Owen, Alyssa, Alexys and Addison; and four great- grandchildren, Parker, TJ, Caroline and Dallas. Also surviving are her sisters, Connie Symmonds (David) of Crystal Falls, Mich., Donna Grob (Warren) of Thomasboro, Patty Harris (Jim) of Gibson City and Linda Slaughter (Jim) of Ellenton, Fla.; her two brothers, Paul Felkner Jr. (Marcia) of Champaign and Ronnie Felkner (Susan) of St. Joseph; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Rosemary operated a home day care for over 30 years. Her interests included interior decorating as well as anything her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren were doing. She also spent many years managing 16th Avenue Band, where her husband Floyd so proudly played music in the area.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, with a memorial service at 11 a.m., at Faith Community Church, 2111 N. Willow Road, Urbana. Pastor Marsh Jones will officiate.
