Rodney L. Rademacher


 RANTOUL - Rodney L. Rademacher, 65, of Rantoul died at 12:49 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 28, 2024) at home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 108 E. Church St., Gifford, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Scott Guhl officiating. Private family burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Chrisman. Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville, is handling arrangements.

Rodney was born July 15, 1958, in Champaign, the son of Ernie and Marleen Huls Rademacher. He married Tracey McKnight.

He is survived by a daughter, Reanna (Ryan) Rademacher Diener of Chrisman; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia, who were affectionately referred to as "Bud" and "Little Bit" by their Papa; his parents, Ernie and Marleen Rademacher; one brother, Rich (Cindy) Rademacher of Penfield; one sister, Ranae (Jeff) Ault of Penfield; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Rademacher of Gifford.

He was preceded in by death his son, Jared Rademacher; a brother, Randy Rademacher; and an infant brother, Wesley Rademacher.

Rodney graduated from Armstrong High School in 1977. He was a heavy-equipment operator for University Asphalt for several years and was currently working in the fertilizer business. He also helped on the family farm whenever he could.

He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841. He enjoyed cooking and loved traveling with his grandkids. Rodney never knew a stranger and always enjoyed hanging out with his many friends.
