ST. JOSEPH – Carol Canfield, age 81, formerly of St. Joseph, peacefully ended her earthly journey and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in Corona, Calif.
Mrs. Canfield was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Brentwood, Mo., the daughter of Leonard Rhea and Hazel Henderson Rhea. She married Charles Robert Canfield on March 17, 1962, in Brentwood, Mo. He passed away in 2002.
Surviving are three sons, Brad (Polly) Canfield of Riverside, Calif., Doug (Susan) Canfield of St. Joseph and Jeff (Lori) Canfield of Sullivan, Ind.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Doris Biggs and Gloria Roseman, both of Missouri.
Throughout Carol's life, her faith and family were most important to her. She enjoyed traveling, and she and her family served as host family to many international students. She was a talented painter and loved discussions over her favorite Starbucks coffee. She was also very proud of becoming a college graduate at the age of 58.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Living Word Family Church, 1000 Park Ave., St. Joseph.
Memorial donations may be given in her name to Living Word Family Church.
