ST. JOSEPH – Dennis Ehmen, 69, of St. Joseph passed away at 3 a.m. Monday (Oct. 24, 2016) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville, with the Rev. James Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Kopmann Cemetery, Royal.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph, is in charge of arrangements.
Dennis was born April 26, 1947, at Champaign, the son of Menne J. and Grace Bruns Ehmen.
He is survived by his siblings, John (Roxie) Ehmen of Clinton, Ind., Charles (Lori) Ehmen of Penfield, Sherril (Dennis) Porter of Terre Haute, Ind., Kathy (Bob) Woodard of St. Joseph, Linda Ehmen of St. Joseph and Robert Ehmen of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He retired from Champaign-Urbana Regional Rehab as a cook. Dennis enjoyed cooking and working outdoors.
