Virgil "Dean" McGuffee

ST. JOSEPH – Virgil "Dean" McGuffee, 58, of St. Joseph passed away at 4:12 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 12, 2016) at his home.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Dean was born on Jan. 20, 1958, at Paxton, the son of Mack and Florence Bemount McGuffee.
He is survived by his children, Chris (Kaylie) McGuffee of Homer, Tonia (Daniel) Ribbe of St. Joseph, Shanna Troyer of Fisher, Dylan Troyer of St. Joseph and Michael Troyer of Champaign; five grandchildren, Christian and Lexi Ribbe, Skylar Jennings, Jackson and Riley McGuffee; mother, Florence McGuffee of Potomac; brother, Bo McGuffee; and sister, Debbie Dean.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dean formerly worked at Bell Helmets and ATT. He liked to fish, spend time outdoors and be with his grandchildren and family.
