OGDEN — Charles O. Bixler, 77, of Ogden passed away at 5:46 p.m. Sunday (June 17, 2018) at home.
Services will be held at later date.
Charlie was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Topeka, Kan. He married Lois Strong. She survives.
He is also survived by his son, Bryan (Donna) Bixlar of Homer; daughter,Shannon O’Neal of Urbana; three grandchildren, J.B. O’Neal, Dakota O’Neal and Mikki Martinez; sisters,
Barbara Beckwith of Topeka, Kan., and Marie Spencer of Seattle, Wash; and brother, Steve Place of South Padre Island, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He retired from the University of Illinois in 1996 from Building Services. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
