ROYAL – James D. Huffman 70, of Royal passed away at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday (June 1, 2016) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 4, at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph, with Pastor Jay Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Jim was born on Nov. 22, 1945, at Langdon, N.D., the son of James O. and Frances Gartner Huffman. He married Linda Bell on Sept. 13, 1969, at Urbana. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Sheri (Michael) Woller of Champaign and Jay (Pam) Huffman of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Aaron and Nolan Woller, Carter and Claire Huffman; two brothers, Tom (Donna) Huffman and Alan (Jill) Huffman; and sister, Marlys (Brian) Prahl, all of Neoga.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Margaret Huffman and Kathy Pridemore.
Jim worked at SuperValu for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, mowing the yard, car racing and the St. Louis Cardinals.
