Daniel J Rubenacker

PHILO — Daniel J. Rubenacker, 64, of Philo passed away at 11:36 a.m. Thursday (May 23, 2019) at his home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Philo, Fr. Keith Walder officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bongard. Rosery will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Freese Funeral Home, 202 W. Main St., Sidney, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 19, 1954, in Urbana, the son of Joe and Doll Daly Rubenacker. He married Lisa Pfeifer on July 29, 2000, at St. Joseph. She preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2017.
He is survived by his siblings, Joyce Cheatham of Philo, Collen O’Neill of Urbana and Mary Jo Redman of Urbana; two stepdaughters, BrennaPfeifer of Indiana and
Andie Pfeifer of St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Warfel.
Daniel was an accountant for Greg Izzard. He loved to cook and was an avid St. Loius Cardinals fan.
He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Philo. He attended the St. Patricks Day Parade in St. Louis every year with friends.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Catholic School in Philo.
